Our aim

We formed the practice because we know how important it is to receive specialist mental health care. We wanted to make it easier for families, couples and individuals (young and old) to gain access to high quality therapeutic services. We wanted to make life easier for you. So we provide a one-stop mental health service for you and your family. All ages welcome.

Our story

We are motivated by our knowledge and experience of the difficulties people face accessing services. So we developed a service where we make it easy for you and your family to get the support you need.

We communicate about our shared cases which means you don’t get the run around. We are a one-stop shop for the assessment and treatment of all mental health, behaviour and relationship problems for the whole family.

A turning point

We are multi-disciplinary team consisting of psychotherapists, social workers, psychiatrists, mental health youth workers, counsellors and hypnotherapists.

We provide a holistic mental health and wellbeing service for everyone - children, young people, families, couples and adults. We look at the whole picture, not just the individual and help overcome challenges and live more fulfilling lives.

We have all the people to help you in the one place so you won’t get the run around. We are the only one-stop mental health team of this kind in Perth.

Mirek Kanik

Psychotherapist / Counsellor
Hypnotherapist

Mirek Kanik is passionate about combining innovative counselling techniques with the newest scientific discoveries and ancient wisdom to achieve the best for his clients.

He is a psychotherapist, hypnotherapist and dynamic life coach. He received his Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of Notre Dame Australia. He is a full registered member of the Australian Counselling Association.

Orietta Simons

Accredited Mental Health
Social Worker

Orietta Simons believes the young person’s voice should be heard. This is one of the traits that makes her such a strong advocate for the rights of young people.

She is a registered social worker, university-qualified youth worker and has worked extensively in rural and remote locations.
She has over 25 years of experience providing youth work, social work and counselling services to children and young people. Her know-how and skills help make the lives of children and young people easier.

Dr Paul Simons

Child and Adolescent
Psychiatrist

Dr Paul Simons has had an extensive career working with children, adolescents and their families, firstly as a GP and, more recently, as
a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and holds a Certificate in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. After achieving his medical degree from UWA,
he worked as a GP in remote and metropolitan settings in WA before training as a psychiatrist. He has worked within the public system and is currently working with the Child and Adolescent Health Service as a consultant child and adolescent psychiatris

Megan Guimbeau

Psychotherapist/
Counsellor
Family Therapist

Meg has been providing Psychotherapy and Counselling services to the Perth communitysince 2006, with a particular interest in supporting young people and their families navigate day to day life, including during parental separation and divorce.

Megan has a Masters in Psychotherapy and Counselling and a Bachelor’s Degree (Psychology) with a minor in Children and Family Studies, from Edith Cowan University.
